Claudette will have her bow thruster fitted next week… engine being over hauled, then on to fitting her out.
The picture is a really old one, as she was, before falling into disrepair.
She still has the wooden top sides, but the front is now a lovely pale blue, which we have continued in the cockpit.
New stainless hand rails are replacing the wooden ones and new windows (safety glass) replacing the old ones.
Exciting times – a picture of as she is now should follow shortly.
We are the only holiday hire company on the upper Thames who hire out classic wooden motor cruisers. We have a Bates Star Craft, known for it’s style and innovation in the Industry, built in 1952, and a 28ft cruiser- totally refurbished – quite possibly from Dunkirk times!
Please note – we do require there to be at least one capable person on board, who has previous boating experience.
We also have a small fleet of wooden Day Boats, to hire by the hour or day. Canoes and rowing boats will be added soon.
